Our hospital is located on Jægersborg Allé with a beautiful view over both the forest and Øresund. In the calm and pleasant surroundings, we offer treatment with the recognized hearing aids from Widex, Signia and Bernafon.
Before the treatment starts, we first examine whether you have a hearing loss and, if so, how serious it is. In some cases, hearing aid treatment will be the right solution, while in other cases an operation or referral for further treatment at a public hospital will be needed. It is important to find out whether your hearing loss is suitable for treatment with a hearing aid, as not all types of hearing loss can be treated in this way.
Once we have established what suits you best, the question arises as to which hearing aid you should choose. Many already have an idea in advance of what is best – perhaps based on recommendations from others or information found on the internet. Some also have a certain preference for whether it should be a behind-the-ear or in-ear hearing aid, and of course the price often plays a role.
After a thorough examination and consultation, you choose your hearing aid based on an informed and well-considered basis, which gives you the best conditions for a good result. Should you, unexpectedly, wish to interrupt the treatment and return the hearing aids, this is possible during the entire trial period, which comes with every purchase of hearing aids*.
*We would like to point out that costs for cast impressions and custom plugs are not refunded if you choose to discontinue the treatment during the trial period and such custom plugs have already been made. You will of course be informed if it becomes necessary to take impressions for such plugs.

Briefly about the Hearing Aid Clinic at Charlottenlund Private Hospital
The hearing aid clinic is located at Charlottenlund Private Hospital, together with the section for ear, nose and throat diseases and specialist doctor Jesper Balle's public health insurance clinic. There are therefore always several specialists present when you visit our hearing aid clinic. This means that you are not only fitted with hearing aids - but are first examined and looked after by an experienced specialist doctor.
As the hearing aid clinic is just one of many offers at the private hospital, we can offer hearing aids at very interesting prices and you typically save many thousands of kroner compared to the prices of the so-called "hearing chains".

The hearing aids from Widex are available both as rechargeable and with batteries. Widex is Danish produced and sold all over the world and the sound of the Widex devices is described by many users as fuller and warmer - more jazz-like - than the competitors. While some users appreciate a sound that is brighter, most appeal to the warm - and perhaps more natural - sound from the Widex devices.

Access for the disabled
There is access to the hearing clinic in Charlottenlund Private Hospital without having to climb stairs. When you stand on the corner of Jægersborg Alle and Fredensvej (right at the corner of Meny). If they follow the pavement down along Meny, towards Pakke-Posten, where they find the back entrance to Charlottenlund Private Hospital, from where an elevator takes them up to the 3rd floor.

Information on referral to public treatment
The specialist can refer you to a public hospital for treatment. A waiting period of between 6 and 12 months must be expected. The devices are available for loan and the treatment is free, but does not offer the possibility of treatment with the best hearing aids.
Information about private treatment
In Charlottenlund Privathospital you can buy hearing aids with a public subsidy. Public subsidy is given if it is the first time you need hearing aids, or if it has been more than 4 years since you last got hearing aids.

Information about the "Pool scheme"
Some specialists offer treatment in a so-called pool scheme. This means that you will be able to receive a free public hearing aid, under exactly the same conditions as described above, only the treatment takes place in a specialist clinic and not in the hospital.
There are strict requirements for hearing and discernment that must be met in order for you to be offered treatment in a pool scheme. This is therefore not offered in the Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic v. specialist doctor Jacob Fisker or in Charlottenlund Private Hospital.
