At Charlottenlund Private Hospital, you will receive hearing aid treatment with the best hearing aids!
Our hospital is located on Jægersborg Allé, offering beautiful views of both the forest and the Øresund. In this quiet and comfortable setting, we provide treatment with the renowned hearing aids from Widex, Signia, and Bernafon.
Before treatment begins, we will first assess whether you have hearing loss and, if so, how severe it is. In some cases, hearing aid treatment will be the right solution, while in other cases, surgery or a referral for further treatment at a public hospital may be necessary. It is important to clarify whether your hearing loss is suitable for hearing aid treatment, as not all types of hearing loss can be treated this way.
Once we have determined what suits you best, the next step is to decide which hearing aid to choose. Many people already have an idea in advance of what might be best – perhaps based on recommendations from others or information found online. Some also have a specific preference for whether it should be a behind-the-ear or in-ear hearing aid, and, of course, price often plays a role.
After a thorough examination and consultation, you will choose your hearing aid based on an informed and well-considered decision, ensuring the best conditions for a successful outcome. Should you, contrary to expectations, wish to interrupt the treatment and return the hearing aids, this is possible during the trial period that comes with every hearing aid purchase*.
*Please note that costs for cast impressions and custom-made earplugs will not be refunded if you choose to discontinue treatment during the trial period and such custom-made plugs have already been created. You will, of course, be informed if it becomes necessary to take impressions for such plugs.
Audiologist Marianne Damgaard hands out Widex devices
The hearing aid clinic is located at Charlottenlund Private Hospital, alongside the department for ear, nose, and throat diseases and specialist Jesper Balle's public healthcare clinic. Therefore, there are always several specialists present when you visit our hearing aid clinic. This means that you are not just provided with hearing aids – you are first examined and guided by an experienced specialist.
As the hearing aid clinic is just one of many services offered at the private hospital, we can offer hearing aids at very competitive prices, and you typically save thousands of kroner compared to prices at the so-called "hearing chains."
We have many years of experience in selling and fitting hearing aids – and we guarantee full satisfaction or your money back with a smile.
At Charlottenlund Private Hospital, we have many years of experience with Widex hearing aids, and over the years, we have built up extensive knowledge and expertise specifically with Widex hearing aids.
Widex hearing aids are available in both rechargeable and battery-operated versions. Widex is Danish-made and sold worldwide, with the sound of Widex devices being described by many users as richer and warmer compared to competitors. While some users appreciate a sound that is brighter, most are drawn to the warm – and perhaps more natural – sound of Widex devices.
We always ensure that our customers receive the best current promotional offers from the manufacturers – and we have many years of experience in advising, selecting, and examining prior to hearing aid treatment, which (only at Charlottenlund Private Hospital) is carried out by a university-trained audiologist and an ENT specialist.

The specialist may refer you to a public hospital for treatment. There may be a waiting time for treatment. This is stated on www.sundhed.dk. The treatment is free of charge.
At Charlottenlund Private Hospital you can buy hearing aids with public subsidy. Public subsidy is provided if it is the first time you need hearing aids, or if it has been more than 4 years since you last got hearing aids. It is important to emphasize that there will always be a co-payment - the amount of this depends on which hearing aid you choose to buy.
For further information on subsidy rules, please refer to the Danish Health Authority website and the brochure below.
Some specialists offer treatment in a so-called pool scheme, where it is possible to get a hearing aid on the same terms as at public hospitals, i.e. without co-payment. This is not offered at Charlottenlund Private Hospital.
