  • What are my options for getting a hearing aid?

There are three ways to receive financial support for your hearing aids.

Free treatment in the public subsidy program:

If your specialist has the opportunity, they may, in some cases, offer treatment with free public hearing aids of the same kind that you would receive at a public hospital. This is called the subsidy program.

Charlottenlund Privathospital does not currently offer the distribution of devices under the subsidy program.

Referral to a public hospital department:

If you prefer treatment at Hillerød or Bispebjerg hospital, we can refer you there for free treatment.

Private treatment: The best devices with public subsidy

If you choose private treatment, you can purchase hearing aids with a public subsidy at Charlottenlund Privathospital. The subsidy is available if it is your first time getting hearing aids or if it has been more than 4 years since you last received them. The current public subsidy is 6,588 DKK for treatment with two hearing aids, and you do not need to pay for the price without the subsidy. We take care of all the paperwork related to the subsidy, application, and more. For further information regarding subsidy rules, please refer to the Health Authority's website.

  • Why should you choose to buy private hearing aids?

    Better quality hearing aids

When you choose private treatment, you gain access to the latest and most advanced hearing aids on the market from renowned brands such as Widex, Signia, and Bernafon. These devices are designed to provide you with the best sound quality and comfort, and they come with many advanced features that can be tailored to your individual needs. Unlike public clinics, where the devices are often of a more standardized type, private treatment offers you a wide selection of models and technologies that best match your lifestyle and hearing requirements.

Shorter waiting times and quicker treatment

One of the major downsides of public clinics is the long waiting times – for initial assessments, delivery of hearing aids, as well as follow-up adjustments and services. Private treatment means you can get quick responses, and you avoid waiting months before receiving help. At Charlottenlund Privathospital, you can get tailored treatment quickly and efficiently, without long waiting times.

    Personal and continuous service

At Charlottenlund Privathospital, you receive personal advice and service throughout your treatment. You have direct access to experienced audiologists who can adjust your hearing aids to meet your exact needs. Ongoing adjustments and follow-ups are also possible, which is especially important when you need help optimizing your hearing aids. In public systems, service is often more standardized, and it can be more difficult to receive the individual attention and service that may be necessary for a good result.

    No long travel times

Many public audiological departments are located far away, leading to long travel times to and from places like Hillerød or other clinics. This can be time-consuming and inconvenient, especially if you have reduced hearing and require more frequent adjustments and services. At Charlottenlund Privathospital, you avoid long commutes since we are located closer to you and offer treatment in a comfortable, local setting. This makes it easier to receive the necessary follow-up and support without additional travel time.

More flexible opening hours and shorter wait times for follow-up

Private treatment offers more flexibility in terms of when and how you receive treatment. You can schedule consultations and follow-ups at times that suit your calendar, and there is generally a shorter waiting time for appointments and follow-ups. In public clinics, opening hours are often more limited, and it can be difficult to find an appointment that works for you.

    Increased comfort and better experience

At a private hospital like Charlottenlund Privathospital, you receive a more comfortable and personalized treatment where you can feel in safe hands. You will experience a more relaxed atmosphere, free from stress and hurry, and you will receive more thorough and attentive service. This makes the entire experience of receiving treatment with hearing aids more pleasant and efficient.

Overall, private treatment is an investment in both your quality of life and your hearing system. You not only get better hearing aids, but also the necessary follow-up, flexibility, and service that make a significant difference in your daily life. Although it costs a little extra, it provides a significant improvement in your hearing and a better overall experience, which is worth investing in.

  • I have unanswered questions...

Call our reception during opening hours and ask to be called back by our audiologist, who will be happy to answer any questions before, during, and after your treatment. It's completely free!

Hearing aids: Prices without subsidies

You can of course also buy the hearing aids without a subsidy if you are not eligible for public subsidy. The price will therefore be more expensive, corresponding to the public subsidy (6,588 DKK).
